NYSSMA® Member Zach Arenz has been named the New York State Teacher of the Year

NYSSMA®  is proud to join the ranks of our fellow NYS Professional Education Organizations in congratulating Zachary Arenz, one of our own, for being named New York State Teacher of the Year.  An active member of our Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Representation Committee, Zach is a strong voice and advocate for urban music education.  His daily routine in the Rochester City School District involves a direct connection to Social Emotional Learning and fostering a student-centered music classroom.  It is with a great deal of pride and respect that NYSSMA congratulates Zach for being a strong and successful NYS Music Educator and now, New York State Teacher of Year.
