Description
Rehearsing for 15 weeks/semester on Saturday afternoons, two (2) students' ensembles (9-13 students each): primary/middle schoolers (NYSSMA Level 4/Suzuki Book 4) & high schoolers (All State/Suzuki Book 7) for a two to three culminating group performing events a semester. Collaborating effectively with other music instructors and communicating regularly with supervisory staff Creating complete, weekly rehearsal plans and submitting timesheets, reports and other vital administrative documentation Reaching students across diverse developmental levels.
Requirements
Ability to work well in a racially and culturally diverse community
Effective and equity-driven classroom management techniques
Highly motivated with excellent time management, organizational, and problem solving skills
Experience with video and photo documentation, social media, and digital content a plus
Technological capacity to provide virtual facilitation if needed, as well as knowledge of virtual platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, etc
