Description
The Oswego City School District has long been a leader in Music Education in NYS. We are looking for a highly qualified individual to continue on the tradition of excellence in the High School Orchestra Program. The high school has two orchestras: an intermediate high school orchestra and advanced high school orchestra. Both ensembles collaborate regularly with winds/brass/percussion to perform Full Orchestra repertoire. All students in OHS Orchestras receive a weekly pull-out small group lesson.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will be outstanding musicians on their primary instrument and show great proficiency on a secondary string instrument, with experience teaching violin, viola, cello, and bass to students of various levels. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate advanced conducting and rehearsal techniques. MM preferred, but all qualified candidates will be considered.
