Music Teacher – one day per week

Description

o Must be able to play piano in Chapel on Wednesday mornings o Plan and implement lesson plans – all lesson plans emailed to info@astorialutheranschool.com and ralovisetti@astorialutheranschool.com prior to Wednesday mornings. o Teach fundamental music concepts such as rhythm, melody, pitch and tempo using creative teaching strategies o Work with staff to coordinate rehearsals for musical programs (Christmas) and other performances as needed

Requirements

o Ability to teach a range of students/abilities in a class format
o Must be able to have classroom behavior strategies
o Ability to play at a high level
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Determined and dependable
