Description
We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and musically gifted educator/organist to join our team to serve in a dual-capacity role. Candidates may apply for: The school music teacher leave replacement, The organist/choirmaster position, OR the combined full-time opportunity.
Requirements
Teach general music to students in grades K–6 (once per week per class).
Implement engaging instruction aligned with the Next Generation Music Standards.
Create a caring, safe, and Christian classroom environment that fosters joy, respect, responsibility, and compassion.
Direct the Christmas and Spring Concerts for grades K–5.
Assist in chapel services as needed (e.g., piano accompaniment).
Set goals for student progress in collaboration with the Principal and instructional teams.
Provide appropriate academic accommodations and differentiated instruction.
Maintain accurate and timely student records and documentation.
Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
Participate in staff meetings, open house events, school programs, and community activities.
Support the daily life of the school through additional duties, such as extra-help and afternoon coverage.
Assist with accreditation and compliance requirements for National Lutheran Schools Association and Middle States Association.
