Description
Job Summary: An adjunct instructor of piano/piano proficiency is contracted by semester to provide the equivalent of 14 weeks of instruction to each student in their studio. Other duties include testing students for completion of benchmark requirements. In addition, the instructor would serve as collaborative pianist for Lyric Theater rehearsals and productions, as well as some student degree recitals as assigned by the Director of Collaborative Piano. Mileage reimbursement is available. Responsibilities and Duties: • Teach proficiency lessons • Assist with the accompanying/collaborative performance needs of the department (Lyric Theater and degree recitals as assigned) Anticipated Rate of Pay: • Pay rate varies based on degree level and experience. • Music lessons: $45-65 per hour • Non-teaching load: $1,105 - $1,266 per credit hour
Requirements
Educational/Experience Requirements:
• Master of Music or equivalent performance experience required.
