Elementary General Music Teachers

The Clarkstown Central School District is seeking dynamic, enthusiastic, and student-centered Elementary General Music Teachers to join our outstanding Fine and Performing Arts Department. The ideal candidates are inspiring educators who are passionate about developing young musicians, fostering creativity through meaningful musical experiences, dedicated to creating positive and inclusive classroom environments, and committed to building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. We are looking for educators who are great team players, value collaboration, embrace innovative instructional practices, and are eager to contribute to a comprehensive, district-wide music program. The ideal candidates will enjoy working closely with fellow music educators to support a cohesive K–12 music program while inspiring students to continue their musical journey through band, orchestra, chorus, and other performing ensembles as they progress through the Clarkstown Central School District.

Requirements

Valid New York State Certification in Music (K–12)
Strong knowledge of elementary general music pedagogy and child development
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Commitment to student-centered instruction and inclusive practices
Ability to engage students through singing, movement, instrument playing, music literacy, creative expression, performance and strong elementary pedagogical background.
