Description

The successful candidate will conduct a talented chorus and an award-winning Select Choir. The Palmyra-Macedon Select Choir has traveled throughout the United States and abroad, including Carnegie Hall, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Scotland, Wales, and Greece. The successful candidate will be joining a talented department committed to providing the students of the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District with opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to theater and the performing arts. The successful candidate for the High School Vocal Teacher position will be expected to: Advise the Madrigal Dinner. Conduct the choir at the Baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies. Run choir camp during the summer and direct the choir during community and school functions and celebrations. Participate in All County and All State Choir competitions. Participate in the High School musical production.

NYS Certification in Music K-12

Implement change for its effect on increased student achievement and the overall enhancement of the organization.
