Students record one practice session during the first week of work on a performance piece.
Teacher and student listen to the recording together while viewing the music score.
Student and teacher conference to identify areas needing improvement.
Student creates a specific practice plan to address items needing improvement.
Subsequent recordings and conferences will take place and additional improvement plans will created.
