Description
Responsibilities: K-6 music instruction Direct grades 4-6 choral program. Prepare students for participation in NYSSMA, All-County, and PEAK festivals. Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment. Ability to differentiate music instruction to meet the diverse needs and interests of students. Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage music development. Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and caregivers. Willingness to continue to professionally grow in music instruction Willingness to positively and professionally contribute to the music department. Motivated to promote student performances within the school community.
Requirements
NYS K-6 Music Teacher Certification
NYS training requirements must be up to date
