Oswego High School Band Director

Description

The Oswego City School District is seeking a highly-qualified candidate for the position of High School Band Director. Responsibilities will likely include conducting the Oswego Concert Band and the award-winning Oswego HS Wind Ensemble. A brass specialist is preferred for this position as responsibilities will likely include teaching brass lessons to students from all three high school bands. Successful candidates must be well-organized, good communicators, and a be a team-player. Opportunities to work with the Oswego Marching Bucs, Winter Drumline, etc. are also available and experience in these areas is preferred. Requirements

BM in Music Education (MM preferred) and NYS Teaching Certification
Significant experience conducting High School Bands preferred
Extensive knowledge of wind band repertoire of varying levels
Thorough knowledge of brass pedagogy
