We are seeking an inspiring, innovative orchestra teacher to join our 6-12 music team and continue the legacy of excellence that makes Norwich music second to none. Whether it's teaching lessons, leading rehearsals, or preparing soloists for college auditions - it's more than a job. It's a calling. What You’ll Do: - Create engaging, inclusive, and responsive learning experiences for 6-12 orchestra students. - Collaborate with k-12 music team to plan and execute a guaranteed and viable curriculum - Use data and professional feedback to drive your instruction and strengthen student outcomes - Building relationships with students and families rooted in trust, respect, and high expectations - Champion a classroom culture where effort, curiosity, kindness, and belonging thrive - Contribute to a school community where teachers support teachers – because we rise together What We’re Looking For: Someone who wants to collaborate and work closely with a strong music team and is interested in extra-curricular opportunities - A teacher who thrives in a professional learning community and loves to grow - Someone open to feedback and relentless in doing what’s right for kids - Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize relationships - A New York State Certification in Music Education - A great sense of humor, a growth mindset, and a deep belief in public education -Why Norwich: We’re a small district with a big heart and even bigger dreams.
