Music Teacher! (Long Term Sub)

Description

Saranac Lake Central School District is seeking a Long Term Sub for the position of Music Teacher, located at the Junior/Senior High School. Here are some specifics about the position; This position is for the role of music teacher with 7/8 grade students for band and chorus. Teacher would be responsible for small group lessons with chorus and band students as well as one ensemble every other day in preparation for music events. While any candidate would be considered, a candidate with an instrumental background would be the best fit. The position will need to be filled from January 2027 thru January 2028, and will be based on the 2026-27 Extra Pay and Substitute Rate schedule. Start date is flexible, but hoping for some overlap with the current teacher.

Requirements

NYS Certification in music preferred, but consideration will also be given to those that are currently enrolled in music education, or have prior history in music.
