Music Teacher – Elementary Orchestra

The Guilderland Central School District is committed to seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to continue our tradition of excellence. We are now accepting applications for a full-time, year-long elementary orchestra teacher that has the potential to become a probationary track position. The position consists of elementary string lessons and orchestra. Knowledge of Music Learning Theory and the Suzuki Method is a plus. We are looking for candidates who have; *Diverse backgrounds, educational interests, and experiences *Experience in teaching string instruments and directing an orchestra *Positive attitude and passion for teaching *An adaptable and coachable mindset *Enthusiasm for the well-being and progress of children *Strong musicianship, communication, and organizational skills *High levels of cultural proficiency and a desire to ensure that ALL students are included and successful *Strong interest in working collaboratively as part of a team *Music K-12 Certification **Please be sure your major and instrument concentration are clearly noted on your resume.
