NOTICE OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY POSITION TITLE: Music Teacher (K-12) CERTIFICATION: NYS Music Certification PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Preferred 1-3 years of Music Education, with experience in choral instruction/conducting. DESIRED/QUALIFICATIONS: Understanding of NYS Frameworks in Music Education Direct choral ensemble(s). Instruct choral classes & lessons, and other related music classes as assigned. Interest in integrating Music Education with other content areas. Familiarity with developmentally appropriate practices in Music Education. Familiarity with State standards in Music. Ability to conduct general music instruction, K-12 with a variety of student needs. Ability to lead chorus ensemble, grades K-12. Understanding of the needs of a diverse population and special needs. Data-driven instruction. Assessment/progress monitoring.
