Johnsburg Central School is seeking qualified candidates for a Certified Music Teacher position serving Pre-K–12 students. Position Overview: We are seeking a certified music teacher with strong expertise in choral methodologies to lead and oversee the district’s choral program. The successful candidate will direct choral ensembles, teach general music, coordinate concerts and the Pop Singers, and participate in community events. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction • Lead and manage choral rehearsals and performances • Coordinate concerts and special music events • Supervise students in various school-related settings

Requirements

• Valid New York State certification in Music Education
• Experience directing middle and/or high school choir preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
