The Glens Falls City School District is seeking interested applicants for a vacant Music Teacher position for our District. This is a part-time (10-month) position. Expected grade levels for instruction include grades 4-6. Salary is per contract (Glens Falls Teachers Association). Plan and deliver age-appropriate orchestra instruction for students across multiple grade levels Teach proper technique for string instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass) Conduct rehearsals and prepare students for concerts and performances Develop students' music reading skills, rhythm, and ensemble playing Assess student progress and provide individualized feedback Collaborate with other music teachers and school staff Maintain and organize instruments and music materials Communicate with parents about student progress Glens Falls, NY 12801

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field New York State Teaching Certification
Proficiency in string instruments and conducting
Experience working with elementary and middle school students
Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods and curriculum standards
