The Valley Stream Union Free School District Thirteen, a high-quality culturally diverse elementary school district located in Nassau County, New York, is currently seeking a long-term substitute music teacher at Willow Road Elementary School. The successful candidate will support the Willow Road Elementary School by filling in for a music vacancy, providing music instruction, and support for students.

Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
Ability to differentiate music instruction to meet the diverse needs and interests of students
Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage music development
Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and caregivers
Willingness to continue to professionally growth in music instruction
Willingness to positively and professionally contribute to the music department
Motivated to promote student performances within the school community.
