K-8 Music Teacher

Description

Looking a music teacher for k-4 general music and 5-8 band/chorus. We are a small school with around 115 students. We can make it a full time position by sharing with Edinburg which would entail 2 days there and 3 days at Wheelerville. We are also willing to work with applicants to make it a part time postion 2-3 days only at Wheelerville.

Requirements

Candidates must possess New York State Teaching Certification in Music. The salary will be determined according to the contract and will include benefits.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for music education and the ability to inspire young musicians. They will also commit to building a strong, inclusive band program that supports students of all experience levels. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Teaching elementary general music classes

- Providing band instruction to beginning students

- Delivering high-quality, standards-based lessons in instrumental music

- Organizing and conducting band rehearsals, performances, and concerts throughout the school year

- Collaborating with classroom teachers, music colleagues, and building administrators to support student learning and scheduling
