NYS Certified Music Teacher with experience in HS Chorus, grades 9 - 12. Salary is based on experience and the current Liberty Faculty Association agreement. Liberty Central School District is seeking a passionate and dynamic high school choir director to lead and grow a comprehensive 9th through 12th grade choir program. The ideal candidate will inspire students through the instruction of the high school mixed and honors choir, theater class, piano lab, and provide differentiated instruction through pull-out small group lessons. Ability to accompany the choir on piano is a must. This is a full-time position with extra-curricular responsibilities including directing the High School musical. Requirements

Minimum education level: BA/BM in music education or music performance (MA/MM preferred).
Experience teaching High School Choir preferred.
Proficiency in voice and piano.
Plan and lead student performances including school concerts, assemblies, community events, All County preparation, and NYSSMA/festival participation.
Strong classroom management skills.
Organizational skills to manage music library and other program resources.
Experience preparing students for festivals, adjudications, and honors ensembles.
Ability to integrate technology into music instruction.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including collaboration with music staff & high school faculty
