Description
Lewiston-Porter is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE), probationary Elementary Music Teacher. The successful candidate will begin with the 2026–2027 school year. This position includes teaching General Music (Grades 3–5) and directing 3rd Grade Chorus, 4th Grade Chorus, and 5th Grade Chorus in accordance with New York State Learning Standards and locally developed curriculum. Opportunities are available for extracurricular involvement, including musical productions and All-County. Strong piano skills and a background in vocal pedagogy are preferred. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and organized, with a passion for elementary music education. We are seeking an educator who is excited about strengthening and growing a vibrant elementary music program. Collaboration on curriculum and programming is expected. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build, lead, and make a meaningful impact within a K-12 music department.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree, NYS certification in music
