Bilingual (Spanish) a plus. Hicksville Public Schools is nationally recognized by the NAMM Foundation as one of the \"Best Communities for Music Education.\" Join our exceptional department as we seek an enthusiastic and qualified Elementary Band Teacher to serve as a leave replacement for the Spring 2026 semester. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum: Design and deliver engaging weekly rehearsals and small group lessons for 4th and 5th-grade band students. Standards Alignment: Develop comprehensive lesson plans that meet and exceed district and New York State (NYS) Music Standards. Technology Integration: Effectively incorporate educational technology tools to enhance daily instruction and student learning. Collaborative Culture: Actively participate as a committed member of our team-oriented, district-wide Music Department, working closely with colleagues across all grade levels.
