Description
The Greece Jazz Band, established in 1997, is seeking a director to join the group for 2026 and beyond. A person with experience directing a dynamic jazz ensemble is needed to lead weekly rehearsals, help select music, participate in auditioning of new members, and direct 12 or more concerts per year around Monroe County. The group has a number of very experienced musicians and has played at the Rochester International Jazz Festival every year. Good people skills are a must for this hard-working group of dedicated adult musicians.
Requirements
Experience directing a jazz ensemble. Good people skills. A good sense of musicianship and musical interpretation. Willingness to help find performance opportunities.
