Job Description: Hamilton Central School District is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Band Teacher to join our music department. This full-time position includes leading the concert band, marching band, and jazz band, fostering a love for music in students across various grade levels. Responsibilities: Direct and instruct the middle and high school concert bands. Lead and coordinate the marching band, including rehearsals, performances, and competitions. Direct the jazz band, selecting repertoire and preparing students for performances. Develop engaging lesson plans that align with district and state music education standards. Organize and oversee performances, concerts, and community events. Encourage student participation in regional and state music festivals. Maintain and manage band equipment, uniforms, and music library. Qualifications: NYS Certification in Music Education (or eligibility for certification). Strong background in instrumental music instruction and ensemble directing. Experience in marching band and jazz band leadership preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Passion for music education and commitment to student growth.
