Anticipated 6-12 Choral/General Music

Description

1. 6-12 Choral/General music position including a 6th grade chorus, 7/8 chorus, HS chorus, and multiple sections of middle school general music. There are opportunities for HS electives, and involvement in the drama club. Vocal specialist preferred. Teachers should be organized and have strong classroom management skills. 2. Promote study of healthy vocal techniques related to posture, breathing and tone production as well as basic musicianship skills including music reading, singing in harmony, understanding music terms and identifying music symbols. 3. Ability to implement culturally responsive curriculum; create an inclusive classroom; and differentiate instruction in order to engage the learning styles and needs of each student as an individual
