Fredonia has been designated as a NAMM Best Community for Music Education for the past thirteen years. We are looking for an exceptional educator with a passion for middle school vocal and general music. Many possibilities for partnerships with area arts organizations exist as well. Notably, we often partner with the SUNY Fredonia School of Music, support commissioning projects, bring in outside professionals to work with our students and perform with various organizations in Western NY. Requirements
Middle School Vocal and General Music
Vocal music specialist preferred.
Strong piano skills are preferred.
Position will include a mix of choral ensembles, general music classes, and preparing students for CCMTA/NYSSMA Festivals.
Opportunities may exist to work with our extracurricular music groups as well.
Develop and grade all student work and assessments.
Enter grades into SMS.
Communicate with families.
Attend all meetings (Faculty, Team, Department).
Follows teacher and school schedule.
Abide by Staff Handbook and FCSD Mission/Vision/Core Beliefs.
