Description
Contact Ryan Decker rdecker@svcsd.org for questions specific to the program and/or teaching responsibilities Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate music lesson plans for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Instruct students in fundamental musical concepts, including rhythm, melody, vocal development, and instrumental exploration. Organize and direct school musical performances, concerts, and seasonal programs. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth and participation. Collaborate with colleagues, school administration, and families to support the holistic development of all students. Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to active learning and artistic exploration.
Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of elementary music pedagogy, curriculum development, and instructional strategies.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage students across diverse learning abilities and backgrounds.
Commitment to professional growth, continuous improvement, and upholding district standards of excellence.
