Description
The Ursuline School seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and accomplished music educator to serve as Strings & Orchestra Teacher. The successful candidate will lead the school's Orchestra program while providing high-quality string instruction to students in Grades 6–12. This position offers the opportunity to build upon Ursuline's long tradition of musical excellence while collaborating closely with colleagues in a thriving Performing Arts Department.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in string pedagogy and orchestral conducting.
Experience teaching middle and/or high school orchestra and string students preferred.
Experience preparing student ensembles for public performance.
Strong communication, rehearsal planning, and classroom management skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students while fostering artistic excellence.
Commitment to educating the whole person within a Catholic, college preparatory environment.
