Procedure

With teacher input, students choose assessment criteria based on concepts learned in class.
Students and teacher collaborate to create assessment tool.
Students select a piece of music with teacher guidance based on technical skill.
Students rehearse and record the selection.
Students and teacher listen to the recording and complete the assessment tool.
Teacher and students share their responses from the assessment.
Through class discussion, students identify practice strategies to develop improvement plans.
Students rehearse again implementing the improvement plan (evaluating its efficacy).
