Thank you for stopping in!
NAfME-Collegiate/NYSSMA is the new name for CMENC (Collegiate Music Educator’s Conference). NAfME-Collegiate/NYSSMA is our collegiate connection to the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the largest state organization of Music Educators in the country, the New York State School Music Association.
Our collegiate Chapters in New York State make up about 1,000 students from Upstate to Downstate, many other states in the U.S., and many countries in the world. Our members go on to be some of the most innovative, well-informed, and effective music educators. Our members care about education, and about preserving quality music education for all students. By providing a support network for student music educators, we hope to help this transition period from “student” to “educator” be a smooth one, as well as one of the most rewarding times in our young careers!
