Description: We seek a part time music teacher for the 2021-2022 school year who is a dynamic and passionate individual who loves teaching music and understands how to engage K-8 students. The EHS curriculum is thematic and interdisciplinary and candidates must be creative, collaborative, and committed to professional development. Applicants must have sensitivity to the social and emotional needs of children, excellent organizational skills, and be driven to explore ways to reach all learners. Applicants must have references that speak to their ability to develop positive relationships with students and colleagues. The position requires the ability to inspire curiosity and creativity in students, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Delivering appropriate lessons using a variety of teaching strategies Designing and conducting choral concerts that include both Hebrew and English songs Integrating technology as needed to enhance instruction Attending all required faculty meetings and school sponsored events Supporting the mission, philosophy, and core values of EHS
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music education ~ master’s degree preferred
3-5 years teaching experience with students in K-8 range
Knowledge of Dalcroze, Orff, and Solfege
Experience teaching xylophone, recorder, and ukulele
Experience leading choral concerts including singing in Hebrew
